Rene Marie Russo, an American actress and filmmaker who was a former supermodel is now a film director. Her elegant beauty and her successes in the field of film reflect her talents as an actor. As a young model, she first began modeling in the 70s. Her popularity quickly grew within the world of modeling. After completing her acting studies Russo started her career as a model in Los Angeles. Russo first made her television debut on ABCs Sable as Eden Kendell, in 1987. In her debut film Major League two years after, she played Tom Berengers romantic interest. Her initial doubts were about her talent as an actor however, the critics were convinced by her consistent performances. She was praised for her performance of Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak in which she competed with Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. The actress has acknowledged that acting isn't her passion. After a prolonged vacation, she self-imposed herself the role in 2005. In the film Thor it was her return to acting. In addition, she starred in Nightcrawler - her husband's Oscar Award-winning film. She then went on to appear in comedies with a lighthearted tone like The Intern and Just Getting Started.

Rose Namajunas ranks among the most prestigious UFC female athletes. Her career began as an amateur fighter taking part in numerous regional promotions before signing with Invicta Fighting Championships and later becoming a member of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Namajunas was able to record many other victories, including 2 wins over Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Performance of the Night from UFC.
