Greenwood was raised in Toronto. Greenwood has been a student of martial arts as well as dance. She has studied vocal and musical theatre in Canada. Acting classes began in several locations, like the "Professional Actors' Laboratory", the "Jason Fraser Studio" along with"Jason Fraser Studios", the "Etobicoke Academy of Arts" and"University Settlement" Drama Group.
