
Salma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jameson; 2 September 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actor as well as film producer. In Mexico she started her career with the role as Teresa in the telenovela (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) where she was nominated for an Ariel Award. Her career quickly took off in Hollywood by appearing in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999). Hayek's role as Frida Kahlo as a painter, in Frida (2002) The film, which is a biographical feature she co-produced, earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6]. Also, she was awarded her Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.
